First Time Probation
If this is your first time on University Academic Notice (SJSU Cumulative GPA Below 2.0) you are required to participate in our Spartans Back on Track Program.
Complete the following steps:
- 1. Wait to receive an email from us
-
Please look out for an email from us a few weeks before the semester begins. We will explain when the Academic Notice hold will be placed and when you can expect to be added to the Spartans Back on Track Canvas course.
-
- 2. Participate in the Spartans Back on Track Canvas course
-
An invitation to the Spartans Back on Track Canvas shell will be sent to all students. Please make sure to accept the course invitation to be activated.
Once you are in the course, please make sure to participate in the weekly modules. These are designed to not take more than 15-20 minutes of your time per week. A timely completion of all of the modules means that your hold will be removed on time for you to register in courses next semester.
-
- 3. Meet with an CoSS SSC Academic Advisor during the semester
-
In addition to participating in the Canvas course, you will need to meet with an CoSS SSC advisor during the semester to discuss your grades and progress toward good standing. You will be reminded on Canvas when to make this appointment.
