Continued Probation

If you are on Continued University Academic Notice (SJSU Semester GPA Above 2.0, SJSU Cumulative GPA Below 2.0) you must complete the following:

• Accept Invitation

  • An invitation to sign up for your advising appointment will be sent out via email, please be on the lookout for an email with further communication via your SJSU student e-mail a few weeks into the semester.

• Attend Advising Appointment

  • Required University Probation advising appointment with an CoSS SSC Advisor. Dates for Fall 2023 are from ____ to ____.

• What will happen if I do not follow the requirement(s) above?

  • Your Probation Advising hold will remain on your account. You will be unable to register for future classes until grades are posted for the semester. We give you a large window of time to make the appointment, so please schedule it as soon as you receive the email from us!

• How can I make an appointment to meet with an CoSS SSC Advisor to address my hold? 

  • You can use the personalized link we will send to you in an email. Please note your mandatory advising appointment must occur between the specified dates mentioned in your email. 

    If you need further assistance at the beginning of the semester or after you’ve already had your mandatory appointment, a CoSS SSC advisor will be available. Appointments can be made by logging on to Canvas or your Spartan Connect account.
