Naomi joined the advising team in the College of Social Sciences (CoSS) Student Success Center in August of 2025. Naomi’s academic journey began at MiraCosta community college in San Diego, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Humanities. She then transferred to the University of California, Santa Cruz and double majored in Ethnic Studies and Literature with Creative Writing. During her time as a student at UC Santa Cruz, she was heavily involved in student organizations and leadership, as well as program coordinating with on-campus centers. In her student leader and program coordinator roles, she gained experiences in peer mentoring, and organizing and co-facilitating academic, cultural, and social events and activities for students. In her previous roles she enjoyed cultivating community and collaborating with peers, and connecting students to resources and opportunities. These experiences inspired her passion for working in education, and as an Academic Advisor, Naomi is excited to provide holistic and academic support for students along their journeys.

In Naomi’s free time, she enjoys trying new recipes for cooking and baking, spending time with friends, reading books and watching movies.
