Earlier this year, a final report containing a number of recomendations was released by the SJSU Interfaith Task Force.  This task force was charged with exploring and addressing the diverse expressions of religious, secular, and spiritual identities and worldviews within our campus community with the aim of enhancing inclusivity, support, and understanding of these identities. To this end, several campus community partners have come together to curate programming around Religious, Spirituality, and Secular Cultures and Identities (or RSSCIs for short).

Whether we are spiritual, non-religious, secular, culturally affiliated, or anything in-between, this session invites all participants to become curious about one another and about ourselves. This session offers insides on the complexities of these identities as a part of many other more-talked-about identities and the ways in which religion, culture, and global events are shaped through the lens of such beliefs, values, and practices.

Convergence Strategies empowers professionals to move toward a future that removes stigmas, opens communication, and fully incorporates RSSCIs into the broader life of institutions by supporting institution-wide conversations and policy shifts around these cultures and identities.
