Changing Major outside of CHHS
Students interested in majors outside of CHHS should contact the department that offers
the major they want to pursue. To find the right contact, refer to the Undergraduate Advisor Directory.
Newly Admitted Students
Newly admitted students must complete their first semester and earn an SJSU GPA before
submitting a change of major request. Newly admitted students cannot change their
major prior to or during orientation and will need to attend orientation with the
college housing their admitted major.
Students interested in changing their major will have an opportunity to let the orientation
advisors know that they plan to change majors. This information will be taken into
consideration when advising students for their first semester courses.
