Jennifer Christgau Aquino is the advisor to San Jose State University's award winning Access Magazine. She is a seasoned journalist, fiction writer, essayist, content strategist and editor with a breadth of media experience. Companies include The Bay Area News Group, San Jose Mercury News, The Palo Alto Weekly, The Six Fifty, The Stockton Record, Houzz, and The Registry magazine.

Prior to San Jose State University, she served as the media advisor to Notre Dame de Namur's student newspaper, in addition to teaching writing and multimedia classes. She was president of the California College Media Association and won CAL-JEC's Educator of the Year. 

Her fiction, essays and poetry have been published in The Dime Show Review, Sad Girls Club, Ruminate Magazine and Wild Roof Journal. She is the 2022 recipient of the Craigardan Artist in Residency Program in the Adirondacks.
