Tower ID Card
You will need your SJSU Tower ID card for access to residential and academic buildings, your meal plan and other campus services. If you have not completed the ID card process, follow the instructions and upload a photo at My Tower ID. Move In Day Parking for Apartments and Residence Halls (All Buildings)
PARKING ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 15, AND SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 ONLY
Upon arrival, you may park in the 7th Street (South) Garage. Once parked, please go to the Providence Credit Union Event Center (PCUEC) to check in. At the Event Center, you will receive an unloading permit for your designated unloading area. You will not be permitted to enter any of the unloading parking lots without first checking in and receiving your unloading parking permit.
- Unloading permits will be available at check-in in the Event Center. You will need to go to the Event Center to check in and pick up your unloading permit before unloading.
- Washburn Hall residents may unload on the lower level of the South/7th St Garage
- Joe West Hall residents may unload at South/7th St Garage
- CV2 residents may unload at Lot 4
- CVA/CVB/CVC may unload at CV Garage Parking Level 1 (bottom floor)
- SVP residents may unload at 8 East San Fernando,
- I House residents may unload at the I House
- Oversized vehicles (Saturday and Sunday after 1:00pm ONLY) may unload at 435 S 10th St
- After unloading, you must register your car using the OffStreet App, if not done beforehand
Due to the limited number of unloading spaces, all vehicles must be moved immediately after unloading is complete or when the allotted unloading time expires, whichever occurs first, to make room for other residents and families. Vehicles remaining in the unloading area beyond the allotted unloading time are subject to citation for exceeding the time limit.
After unloading, please relocate your vehicle to one of the following locations:
South (7th Street) Garage – 3rd Floor and above
North (10th Street) Garage – 3rd Floor and above
West (4th Street) Garage – SVP residents only
Lot 8 – For oversized vehicles, located near the intersection of E. San Salvador Street
and S. 8th Street
Church parking lot – 435 S. 10th Street (oversized vehicles only)
Parking at these locations is complimentary only with a valid complimentary virtual parking permit. To park free of charge for the remainder of your move-in day, you must redeem your complimentary virtual parking permit using the OffStreet link below before parking your vehicle.

OFFSTREET APP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Click on the guest permit link: https://www.offstreet.io/location/O23GFZLI
2. Select a date
3. Enter license plate number
4. Choose License Plate State
5. Enter email address for confirmation receipt
6. Click Next
7. Enter your full name
8. Click Park
Residents who have purchased an academic year Campus Village (CV) or I House Parking Permit will receive their academic year CV parking permit at check-in. CV Garage Access will not be placed on your card until you pick up your CV Parking Permit. During move-in, the residents with a CV Parking Permit are asked to park on the lower level (P2) of the garage, should you choose to unload on the higher level (P1).
Flow of the day, at a glance:
- Park at South (7th ST) Garage
- Walk to the PCU Event Center to get your keys/unloading permit
- Move your vehicle to your designated unloading area based on your assigned building, as indicated on your unloading permit.
- Unload your items within the allowed time listed on your unloading permit.
- Vehicles must be moved before the unloading time expires to avoid citation.
- If you finish early, please move your vehicle promptly so others can use the unloading space.
- Obtain a day-of courtesy parking permit through the OffStreet app and relocate your
vehicle to one of the following:
PARKING MONDAY, AUGUST 17 AND TUESDAY, AUGUST 18
If you plan to check in on Monday, August 17, or Tuesday, August 18, unloading will not be available in the CV parking garage. Day permits may be purchased in the South (7th St) Garage, or there is limited metered parking along 10th and San Salvador Streets.
For SVP residents, if you plan to check in Monday, August 17, or Tuesday, August 18, you may purchase a day permit in the South (7th St) Garage or the West (4th St) Garage, or there is limited metered parking along South Market Street and public lots nearby.
PURCHASED ACADEMIC YEAR CAMPUS VILLAGE (CV) PARKING PERMITS
Residents who have purchased a Campus Village (CV) or I House Parking Permit will receive their permit at check-in in the Event Center on Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16. Those arriving Monday, August 17, or Tuesday, August 18, may pick up their permit in the Housing Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. You must pick up your permit in order to receive access to the CV garage.
During move-in, residents with an academic year CV Parking Permit are asked to unload on the upper level (P1) of the garage, then park on the lower Level (P2).

So, What Should I Pack?
The following are some of the things residents may consider bringing:
Extra-long twin sheets
- Pillows, blankets, & mattress cover
- Towels
- Personal toiletries
- Alarm clock
- Microwave/Refrigerator – Consider renting a MicroFridge
- Disinfectant wipes and or sprays for personal use
- Computer, printer, etc.
- Television, electronics, etc.
- Surge protector extension cords (UL approved)
- Flashlight
- Shower shoes
- Shower caddy
- Water bottle
