Spartan Mathematics Club

The Spartan Mathematics Club is a student organization at San José State University for students who enjoy mathematics, problem solving, and learning beyond the classroom. We welcome students from every major and level of mathematical experience.

Through problem-solving sessions, student and faculty talks, competitions, workshops, and social events, the club gives students a place to explore interesting mathematics, meet others with similar interests, and build connections with the SJSU mathematics community.

Mission

Our mission is to build an inclusive community around mathematics at SJSU and give students opportunities to engage with the subject beyond their coursework. We aim to make mathematics more collaborative, creative, and accessible by bringing together students who want to solve problems, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and discover new areas of mathematics.

The club supports both academic and professional growth by connecting students with peers, faculty, mathematical competitions, research, and other opportunities in mathematics and related fields.

Membership is open to SJSU students interested in mathematics. No particular major or level of mathematical experience is required.
