Academic Excellence

With our new Academic Master Plan (AMP), SJSU is aligning programs and facilities to meet the region’s future workforce needs. This work is rooted in our R2 Carnegie Classification as a national research university.

The Academic Master Plan Task Force, under the leadership of Provost Vincent Del Casino, will build on the amazing work that is already taking place and guide investments that address the future of this amazing region's workforce and society.

In addition to our AMP, in the summer of 2025, our long-awaited campus facilities master plan was approved by the CSU Board of Trustees, providing a renewed path forward to revitalize our facilities, grounds and space usage to support our core academic mission.  

In addition, the campus will spend the next two years focusing on receiving a 10-year accreditation from the WSCUC.
