Visiting the Beethoven Center
The Beethoven Center will be open every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 am to 6 pm. Additionally, we can also accommodate appointment requests made outside of these set days with at least one week notice. Dr. Richard Sogg demonstrates the historical keyboard instruments on Wednesdays from 2:00-2:45 p.m.
As a friendly reminder, masks will be required regardless of vaccination status. We thank you for your understanding.
How to Make an Appointment
- All appointments must be made at least one week in advance.
- Group size is currently limited to a maximum of 20 people, please email appointment requests to email@example.com
- Requests for items in the Center's vault collections need to be requested at least one week in advance and these requests can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Regardless of vaccination status, masks are required.

Location & Parking
The Beethoven Center is located on the fifth floor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library on the campus of San José State University in downtown San José. We are in Room 580 in the Special Collections area.
The address is 150 E. San Fernando Street, at the corner of S. Fourth and San Fernando streets. Public parking is available in the Fourth Street Garage across the street (at 44 S. Fourth St.) and other nearby garages and lots. Metered street parking may also be available.
Group size is currently limited to a maximum of 20 people and we ask if you can please email email@example.com to notify us if you are planning on visiting with a large group.
