What is Grad Slam?

SJSU’s Grad Slam is a three-minute thesis competition (also known as 3MT) that challenges participants to present their research with one slide in only three minutes in an engaging way to a non-specialist audience. This format allows us to see a snapshot of the exciting research and creative activity emanating from SJSU from the vantage of our amazing graduate students. The Grad Slam event will feature the ten student finalists competing for bragging rights, cash prizes, and the privilege of representing SJSU at state-wide and regional competitions.
