Corporate Affiliate Program
The Corporate Affiliate Program at the College of Information, Data and Society builds meaningful partnerships with the Silicon Valley business community through student engagement, faculty collaboration and innovative industry-sponsored capstone projects in artificial intelligence and data science.
- Corporate partners collaborate with faculty members to define high-value capstone projects addressing real-world challenges.
- Students gain practical experience through interdisciplinary, team-based learning.
- Teams typically consist of three to five students working over two semesters, with project structure and academic credit determined by the participating program.
- Each partner designates a liaison to provide industry context, mentorship and project feedback.
- Partners and faculty members jointly establish realistic project goals, milestones and deliverables.
- Student teams meet regularly with partners to share progress, discuss challenges and receive feedback.
- Partners have access to the IP that is generated in the course of their project(s).
- Partners get a two-semester interview with their student teams to help determine who they want to pursue as employees.
