The California State University (CSU) Office of the Chancellor offers a variety of funding opportunities across disciplines, through ten Multi-Campus Collaborations, also known as Affinity Groups, such as COAST, CSUPERB, and STEM-NET. SJSU faculty are encouraged to look for collaborations via these Affinity Groups and monitor them for potential funding opportunities.

The CSU STEM-NET Steering Committee is seeking CSU faculty nominations for the 2022-23 Faculty Fellows program. SJSU can nominate one tenured or tenure-track faculty with a disciplinary association with science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) and who is an active disciplinary and/or pedagogical scholars. The period of appointment will be from summer 2022 through spring 2023. Compensation is a summer 2022 stipend of $5,000 and three (3) semester units (AWTU) for each semester, fall 2022 and spring 2023. The call for nominations and the application can be found here. [pdf]
If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else to be the “2022 SJSU Nominee” for this program please send an email to OfficeofResearchApplications@sjsu.edu containing a one paragraph explanation of the faculty member’s fit to the STEM-NET Faculty Fellows Program by 5 pm on February 1, 2022. Nominations will be reviewed by the AVP for Research and the RSCA Advisory Council on Feb 3, 2022.
