The VRL is the primary visual resource lab for the Department of Art and Art History students and faculty serving diverse pedagogical and research needs of multiple areas within the School. 

The VRL supports instruction with manintaining multiple image databases, cataloging BFA, MFA and Faculty shows, developing and maintaining the VRL website and the Art and Art History website and equipment and media checkout for Digital Media Art students and faculty.

The facility also maintains a separate electronic image database.
