Confidential Crime Reporting

UPD will accept reports of criminal activity in confidence, including hate crimes and crimes of sexual violence, allowing the victim, if they wish, to report through a third party and/or remain anonymous.

UPD requests that all campus counselors encourage their clients, when appropriate, to report criminal violations on a voluntary, confidential basis for inclusion in the annual disclosure of crime statistics. Confidential reports of criminal activity can be reported to UPD or any campus official with significant responsibility for student and campus activities such as, student affairs, athletic coaches, housing RAs, housing RLCs, housing administrators, and judicial affairs.
