The Student Union, Inc. of San Jose State University supports the development, growth, and well-being of students and the campus community by providing diverse programs, desired services, and quality facilities that enhance the collegiate experience.
Special Events & Programming at the Student Union, Inc. aims to bring SJSU students a variety of high- quality events and activities that promote exploration, enhancement, and enrichment.
The Student Union, Inc. is one of the largest employers of students on campus with various positions ranging from operations, event services, fitness staff, climbing wall attendants, sports officials, and more. Student positions are open to qualified matriculated full and part-time San José State students.
The Student Union, Inc. functions as part of the Student Affairs Division on campus and is governed by a Board of Directors made up of a student majority, faculty, and administrators. The Student Union, Inc. Executive Director is responsible for the overall administration and executive leadership of a wide range of auxiliary operations and serves as the Board Secretary. The Board of Directors meets at least monthly to review and develop policy, and approve the corporation audit and annual budget.
