A Message from the Department Chair
Welcome to our website. I hope you will find it to be a useful resource.
The SJSU anthropology department has been affected in significant ways by the public health crisis facing our region and the rest of the world. In accordance with a systemwide policy announced in May by the Chancellor's Office of the California State University system, our department will only offer online courses during the summer session and throughout the Fall 2020 semester. We are committed to offering a high-quality education to all students, regardless of whether or not classes are held online. During the Spring semester, our professors quickly adapted their courses to the state's "shelter-in-place" directive, and they will be even more prepared to provide an excellent education to students throughout the rest of the year.
The anthropology office was closed on March 16, and will remain closed until further notice. If you have questions related to one of your courses, please contact your course instructor via email. If you have advising questions or requests, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. For General Education advising, contact the ACCESS Success Center.
Please stay up to date by checking SJSU's Health Advisories website.
