Shauna Mundt graduated from UC Berkeley in 2015 with a BA in Anthropology, and from SJSU in 2018 with an MA in Applied Anthropology. As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, Shauna worked on the Fort Davis Archaeology Project in Fort Davis, TX, where she conducted original research, and was a collections intern at the Oakland Museum of California and the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology. As a graduate student at SJSU she interned for the National Park Service and produced two original digital museum exhibits for Rosie the Riveter WWII/Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond as part of her thesis research (https://artsandculture.google.com/partner/rosie-the-riveter-wwii-home-front-national-historical-park).

Since 2018 she has worked for Pacific Legacy, Inc. and currently serves as Senior Historical Archaeologist assisting local, state, and federal clients with cultural resource compliance in accordance federal and state laws and regulations. In her role at Pacific Legacy Shauna has successfully directed and managed projects from start to finish, including surveys, testing and data recovery excavations, large-scale site recording, National Register of Historic Places NRHP and California Register of Historical Resources evaluations and damage assessments, has served as a GIS technician, and has authored/co-authored numerous technical reports. She also trains and mentors junior staff.

Since 2019 Shauna has served as Vice President and Lead Archaeologist of the Martinez Cemetery Preservation Alliance, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the preservation of the historic Alhambra Pioneer Cemetery in Martinez.
