How SJSU Communicators Tell Their Story
San José State University licenses a variety of tools and products for use by colleges and divisions to assist their communicating and storytelling needs. These tools and onboarding for them are managed or overseen by University Marketing and Communications, your partner in brand style and voice.
Adobe Creative Cloud Suite products are broadly available and licensed across the university. UMC provides assitance with brand standards to make the most of Adobe products' graphic design capabilities to support your department.

SJSU licenses a limited number of user "seats" or accounts on this graphic design platform. Use of the SJSU Canva membership is limited to official brand-aligned graphic design needs by colleges, divisions and departments.
The one, official map for all of SJSU is managed by UMC in partnership with IT. Colleges, divisions and departments may request content contributor access to make changes to their respective area's locations, descriptions, tours and more. Explore the interactive tool at map.sjsu.edu.
This platform is the university's preferred social media management, tracking, posting and social sentiment tool. A limited number of user seats are allocated to managers of official SJSU accounts.
The preferred email marketing platform for the entire university's email and outreach needs. Officially designated communicators will be granted user seats following onboarding and training.

The following products, software, tools and services are not directly managed by UMC, but are available to help SJSU communicators raise awareness across the university and community.
Adobe Creative Cloud includes professional applications for photography, graphic design, illustration, video, UX, UI, 3D, AR and social media. San Jose State University students, faculty and staff have access to all of the industry-level applications in the Adobe Creative Cloud.
Television monitors are located in the lobbies of every building on the Main Campus and are a no-cost, impactful way of spreading news and raising awarness of your events, programs or services.

Lucidchart is an easy-to-use cloud-based application for creating flowcharts and diagrams.

Panopto is a video creation and management tool that provides students a variety of ways to engage with video content.
Physical Signage
The placement of flyers, posters, decals are governed by the university's Time, Place and Manner policy as well as additional review by Facilities Development and Operations, Student Affairs and, when necessary, University Marketing and Communications.
The new SJSU mobile app provides students mobile access to the information and services they need and gives employees easier access to manage their HR data.
