New Students
Prospective Students
If you choose to attend SJSU, we will support your writing through our tutoring services, workshops, and events. We offer in-person and online appointments, as well as drop-in style support.
Our team of writing tutors go through extensive training, which involves all aspects of writing, as well as supporting multilingual students. Many of them are also trained to work with graduate-level students.
As you consider coming to SJSU, you can immediately access our online writing resources that are available to anyone–you do not need to be a Spartan!
Admitted Students (Frosh and Transfer)
Welcome to SJSU! We understand that you have a lot of information to take in before your classes start. We would like to make things easier by offering two options for accessing writing support as soon as you need it.
- Submit an Account Set-Up Help Request, ideally before the start of the semester, which is the best time to register, activate your account, and start booking tutoring appointments. A team member will email you to arrange a date and time to meet via Zoom and lead you through the process.
- Visit our Appointment Help page and follow the instructions to create your account independently.
