New Students

WCOnline Walk-Through Sessions

Welcome to SJSU! We understand that you have a lot of information to take in before your classes start, which is why we aim to help you set up your Writing Center account to use as soon as you need it.

We have scheduled virtual walkthrough sessions, which will take place via Zoom from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the following dates. 

  • June 10
  • June 17
  • June 24
  • July 1
  • July 8
  • July 15
  • July 22
  • July 29
  • August 5

By joining any of the WCOnline walk-through sessions, you can get assistance with the following topics:

  • learning about the services we offer and our policies and procedures;
  • creating your account in the WCOnline scheduling system;
  • activating your account;
  • scheduling appointments;
  • looking up writing tutor bios;
  • canceling appointments;
  • requesting additional sessions (for AEC and graduate students); and
  • missing appointments (what to do).

Prospective Students

If you choose to attend SJSU, we will support your writing through our tutoring services, workshops, and events. We offer in-person and online appointments, as well as drop-in style support.

Our team of writing tutors go through extensive training, which involves all aspects of writing, as well as supporting multilingual students. Many of them are also trained to work with graduate-level students. 

As you consider coming to SJSU, you can immediately access our online writing resources that are available to anyone–you do not need to be a Spartan!
