Apply to EOP

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed for undergraduate students that meet all of the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be considered CA Residents or AB540
  • Have a history of limited-income 
    • EFC to demonstrate limited income is determined by the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application
    • The EFC, Expected Family Contribution, is under $1500 (an EFC between $1501- $5000 will only be considered if there is space available in the program)
  • A first generation college student, their parent(s) have not earned a 4-year degree or higher, from any country

Be sure to submit the EOP application at the same time you submit your SJSU admission application

SPRING 2024

Please note that EOP at SJSU does not accept/evaluate any Spring applications, as we are closed for all Spring terms.

  • EOP acceptance can only occur at the time of admission to SJSU/CSU, students are not eligible to apply for EOP at any point later on in their undergraduate career
  • Please check the CSU EOP applications deadlines [pdf] for any campus that you may be interested in applying for
