Research and Innovation Student RSCA Fellowship (SRF)

This competitive student fellowship is offered by the Division of Research and Innovation to support students to engage with an SJSU faculty mentor in a funded research, scholarship, and creative activity (RSCA) project

SJSU Student RSCA Competition (SRC)

This competition allows students to present their original RSCA and compete for selection as SJSU representatives at both SJSU’s Celebration of Research and the statewide California State University (CSU) Student Research Competition.

Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP)

For the Spring 2023 semester, faculty members can apply to hire a student to work on research or creative activity related projects for 20 hours a week, for 16 weeks. Through LAEP, students will be compensated $20 an hour.

Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)

UROP seeks to improve retention and to enrich the academic experience at SJSU by engaging students in RSCA during their first and second years. Through UROP students will work up to 10 hours per week with a faculty mentor on research or scholarly projects.
