Strategic Communications
Strategic communications staff forecasts, prepares for and manages emerging issues and reputational challenges for the university in addition to providing support for the university administration's key messaging priorities.
Media Relations
Media relations staff handles inquiries from members of the press, both on and off-campus, prepares faculty and staff for media interviews, creates and maintains background materials on the institution and serves as the primary point of contact for news media.
Internal Communications
Internal communications staff handle messaging to faculty, staff and auxiliary employees during change management and signature university events and initiatives, create and maintain the weekly employee newsletter SpartanMessenger, and oversee governance and use of digital communications tools used by campus communicators.
