Program Educational Objectives

Upon graduation an MSCS student should have acquired:

  1. Breadth of knowledge in computer science with course work in the subject areas Foundations, Architecture, and Systems Software.
  2. Depth of knowledge in an advanced topic in computer science, including the ability to carry out original work that builds upon the existing body of knowledge in the field.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Computer Science topics to researchers, practitioners, and the public.

The undergraduate cybersecurity certificate program provides students with a well-grounded foundation to become professionals in software security and information assurance.
