This talk is an overview of the systems and tooling that allow Facebook to have highly performant mobile apps despite a high volume of changes and very fast release cycle.
David Alves (class of '17) has been a software engineer working on Android at Facebook for 11 years. He has spent the past 5 years working on performance, reliability, and efficiency telemetry and tooling for all of Facebook's Android apps (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, etc). His current project is building metrics and tools for controlling memory consumption.
