Breaking Barriers

We warmly invite you to celebrate the 40th annual Davidson College of Engineering Awards. We chose this year's theme, “Breaking Barriers,” long before we knew just how extraordinary 2020 would be. Over the past few months we have moved our college and university online. Faculty, staff and students quickly embraced new technologies in order to continue with classes, labs, conferences, and visiting speakers -- even hosting a virtual open house for admitted students and their families! Like engineers, we turned to face challenges head on, and we broke the barriers of conventional schooling. This year, in light of the restrictions we all face, we invite you to hear a few words from Dean Sheryl Ehrman, read about our outstanding award recipients, and explore highlights of our student clubs from the comfort of your home.
