Dear AE graduates,

My warmest congratulations on your great achievement!

It has been a great pleasure getting to know you and serving you as your department chair, academic advisor, and for some of you, as teacher. You have been a part of our AE family from the day you joined our department and you will remain a member of our family forever. So, please stay in touch. We will always have fond memories of you and we will always love hearing your news. More importantly, never think twice about reaching out if we can help you in any way.

As you are going out into the world make sure to follow your heart. If you don’t already know what you are passionate about, now is the time to find out. If things don’t work out at first, never lose faith. Above all, never stop learning. Remember, you are not just aerospace engineers; you are also citizens of the world and most importantly human beings, so in everything you do, always strive to make this world a better place for everyone. Above all, reach for your dreams and live your life to the fullest.

Dear Aerospace Engineering Graduates,

Congratulations on finishing strong even when things got harder at the end of your path here at SJSU! The perseverance with which you completed your studies tells me that you are ready to face any challenges in your future careers. You certainly have all the means to succeed and it is very rewarding to know that the students I mentored throughout these last few years are now fully prepared aerospace engineers who can undertake any tasks their jobs will require. It has been a pleasure to watch you reach this milestone.
