Hello.  My name is Lucinda Lawson.  I was the Administrative Analyst in the EE Department until this past December when I retired.  I so enjoyed working with the students.  I worked a lot with the IEEE members and appreciated working with them.  I enjoyed their enthusiasm and dedication to the IEEE mission.  I will miss you.  Best of luck to you all.

Let me leave you with this:

"Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you."

- Thomas Jefferson

and

"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Live long and prosper.

EE graduates, I would like to give the most heartfelt congratulations to you for your achievements. This is a joyous moment that you, your family and friends, and all of us at SJSU are proud of. In the past few years we have asked you to study hard and learn so much, and your perseverance and hard work led you to today’s accomplishments. We are now confident that you are ready to go out to better your life and society. I would like to say thank you to the parents and grandparents, for supporting your sons and daughters, and also for supporting us in our jobs.

Dear EE graduates, you are now all EE alumni, and I know that you will be busy with even higher and bigger goals. We will surely miss you at SJSU. While you were here, we asked you to study hard. Now we ask you to let us know about your successes in life by returning for our EE annual alumni reunion. You will not hear from us about logic gates or system transforms. We want to hear from you about your gates to success and the transformation of your lives. So please come back and share your stories with us. I hope that you will find much joy in your lives, and will be very busy contributing to your success and happiness as well as those around you.

I wish you all the best with your career and endeavors! Be ready to adapt to the environment. What you acquired from your college years will be a good foundation to learn or invent new things out there. When you have a chance, assist your fellow SJSU alums. We'll change the world together, every bit and byte!

Dr. Hiu Yung Wong

Dear EE124 students, this was a difficult semester where you needed to conduct the experiment at home. You all exhibited tremendous patience, dedication, and perseverance in the learning process. And you delivered! Thank you very much! Spartan up!
