String Project

Spring 2022

The String Project provides group violin classes to elementary and middle school students, while providing a hands-on, supervised teaching experience to our university music education majors. Students will meet on Monday and Wednesday from 4pm-5pm in the Music Building at SJSU. The starting date is Wednesday, February 16th.

We are charging a small tuition fee on a sliding scale of $50/semester per student. If that is not in your budget this spring, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Additionally, there is a small rental fee of $25 per semester to use the instruments of SJSU.

According to SJSU policy, all students are required to be fully vaccinated before starting classes. Please be prepared to provide proof of vaccination.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the String Project Coordinator, Dr. Catalina Barraza at catalina.barraza@sjsu.edu
