An Immersive Singing Experience in an Honor Choir Setting

Join us for one week this summer at the Summer Winds Chamber Music Institute on the campus of San José State University.

Build Choral Leadership Skills

This program is designed for high school and college woodwind students. Chamber ensembles are coached by SJSU primary faculty. Students will experience and learn essential chamber music techniques, including matching intonation and tone color, blending, musical body language, and rehearsal etiquette.

Dr. Yueh

Dr. Yueh Chou

Bassoon faculty and chamber music coach at San José State University and San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has coached chamber music in Summer Music West at SFCM as well as in Sequoia Chamber Music at Humboldt State University.

Dr. Michael

Dr. Michael Hernandez

 Professor of Saxophone at San Jose State University. Founding Soprano Saxophonist of the MANA Quartet.

Steve

Steve Sánchez

Professor of Clarinetat San José State University. He is a member of the San Francisco Symphony.
